JUPITER, FL – Today, Republican Rick Kozell, candidate for Congress in FL-18, called on Rebecca Negron to return $86,200 in special interest money her campaign received after legislation was advanced by her husband in the State Senate this year.
Rebecca Negron’s FEC reports reveal that $86,200 came from employees and employee-spouses of one single company, MCNA Dental, which stood to benefit big from Tallahassee legislation being advanced by Rebecca Negron’s husband.
America owes its freedom and its very existence to the more than 21 million veterans among us. More than 8.5 million veterans rely on the Department of Veterans Affairs each year. These brave men and women have risked everything to defend this great nation and they are entitled to better than the bloated bureaucratic regime that the VA has become. It is time that we take a stand in support of the brave men and women who have defended our freedom.
Conservative Senator Richard Burr endorses Rick Kozell for Florida’s 18th Congressional District. As chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence he serves an important role in defending America from threats abroad.
Senator Burr stated:
“Rick Kozell is clearly the right choice for Florida’s 18th Congressional district. He’s a conservative leader who will stand up for our principles in Washington DC. He will fight to repeal and replace Obamacare, cut taxes, and reign in big government spending. In these troubled times I am confident we can count on Rick Kozell to help keep America safe and strong. I am proud to endorse Rick Kozell and know he will serve faithfully as a citizen legislator”
For too many years, career politicians have kicked the can down the road and burdened our country with more and more debt and more and more big government programs. Congress must enact reforms that will cut spending, pay down the debt, and put our country on a sustainable path for the future – one which will grow our economy by enabling job creators to do what they do best: create jobs.
Yesterday, Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency covering St. Lucie and Martin Counties. Governor Scott issued the state of emergency in response to the water crisis within our community, the increasing toxic discharges from Lake Okeechobee, and the federal government’s utter failure to address the situation under Barack Obama.
This week Politico reported the same facts that national security experts have been forecasting for over a year: that Barack Obama’s lack of leadership in the face of Russian aggression toward Ukraine has now given rise to a greater risk of conflict with Russia. And so today Rick Kozell called upon President Obama, as he has throughout his campaign, to re-establish the principle of peace through strength by standing with our Ukrainian allies.
JUPITER, FL – Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster and the next Congress must send a bill to the new President’s desk on their first day in office repealing Obamcare root and branch. Simply repealing President Obama’s disastrous health care bill is unfortunately not enough. There are many ways we can work to make health caremore affordable and accessible to Americans and we must offer a market-based solution to implement needed health care reforms.
“In Congress, I will be an advocate for more affordable and more accessible healthcare. I believe any Obamacare replacement must be market-based, must focus on driving down the underlying costs of healthcare, and must be centered on the following criteria:
- Total repeal of Obamacare on day one.
- Reform the federal approval process to reduce the cost and time for bringing new drugs and new technologies to market.
- Pass common sense medical liability reform to stop junk lawsuits that drive up health care costs.
- Increase research and development tax credits to spur increased investment in new drugs, treatments, and technologies to improve affordability of care.
- Implement broad regulatory reform to empower hospitals and care providers to drive down internal costs and improve the affordability of care.
- Allow individuals and small businesses to buy health insurance across state lines.
- Expand health savings accounts.
- De-link health insurance from employment so individuals are allowed to carry it with them if their job changes or they are no longer employed.
“Obamacare is crushing small businesses and working families, and it is driving uphealth care premiums for too many Americans. It must be repealed immediately. As a former small business owner, I have seen the impact of crushing government regulations and Obamacare is just another federal regulatory scheme that is threatening the American Dream. We need conservative leadership in Congress that will keep fighting for practical, effective healthcare reform – day in and day out. I do not intend to let up on this fight and will see to it that Obamcare is repealed and replaced with a market-based solution that actually lowers costs and improves accessibility for working Americans.”
Two top national security experts have endorsed Rick Kozell in his campaign for Congress, both citing Kozell’s deep commitment to defeating ISIS and restoring American leadership in the Middle East and throughout the world.
All across America, working families and small businesses are being crushed from the overly burdensome and complex structure of our tax system. The Obama economy, with its anemic growth, is the direct result of outlandishly high tax rates and an incomprehensible tax code. As a result, we see fewer new businesses, fewer jobs for working families, and fewer opportunities for Americans fighting to realize the American Dream. [Read more…]
